About Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing factor (GRF 1–44) distinguished by a trans-3-hexenoyl modification at its N-terminus, which stabilizes the peptide against rapid enzymatic degradation. As a GRF analogue it engages GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, making it a reference compound for studies of growth hormone (GH) pulsatility, the GH/IGF-1 axis, and downstream hepatic and metabolic signaling. Researchers use it to probe receptor-ligand kinetics, to compare stability profiles of modified versus native GRF sequences, and to model GH-related outcomes such as substrate metabolism and body-composition changes in preclinical systems. Sequence fidelity is especially important because small truncations or oxidation at methionine positions can attenuate receptor activation without obvious chromatographic shifts. Shandong Shengyuan supports such work with orthogonal QC, including RP-HPLC purity of at least 99.2%, LC-MS sequence verification, and residual-solvent and water-content testing on every batch. Supplied lyophilized, for research use only; not for human or veterinary use.
